1. I’m actually studying portraiture. You need the entire face. For instance a picture of just someone’s lips is NOT a portrait. It does NOT express likeness or personality. Just a body part.

    Why does the idea of a portrait have to be so strict? I learned that a portrait is (usually) an image of a person, and is used to express said subject. And I disagree. I think my image does capture an element of the subject’s personality.
